There’s a little learning curve on setting up this 3d printer, for example leveling the bed otherwise you just need a little or not at all experience assembling kits. Under an hour you can have this puppy ready to print and without upgrades this printer exceeds expectations ! Now when you use Creality 3d software or Cura read 1st or watch a couple of youtube videos so you learn what u need to tweek for better results. I will buy another one next week hands down so I can have both 3d printers working ar the same time ! Prusa ? think twice and beleive me, this one is way better and you will get amazing results with it !!!PS: If you notice the red cnc part where you load the filament, that’s the only upgrade I installed so far and that part dont came with the 3d printer, the one included is a plastic one.*Update*After a month with it i’m more than impressed! I just installed the TFSmoothers, printed a Petfang Bullseye fan duct, Mirror Bed and that’s ALL ! just look at the newest pics !

*****Edited ***** I am now rating the ender 3 pro to 5 stars finished 151 hour and 47minute T-800 skull 300% size (one and a half spools of hatchbox pla) printed flawlessly. See pics. It's all in the proper set up.This is my second 3d printer I'm a rookie I'll admit that, my 1st printer is a monoprice select mini v2 not a problem with it after set up and leveling been printing 12 to 16 hours consistently, never had to relevel that bed, but the ender 3 has to be leveled after every print after that it prints good, the magnetic bed is chewed up because the bed warps due to the aluminum bed thermal expansion I presume and when I home it the nozzle digs into the magnetic bed, I guess I'll spend more $$$ by a spring upgrade and glass shouldn't have to do this now.. should I ? Might as well get a better extruder.

Assembly was fairly straightforward, although the printed instructions are a bit vague in places. Having some knowledge of how motion control equipment functions made things easier. After I was done I found better instructions on the included SD card.It would have been helpful if they included additional steps for 3D printing first-timers. Such as, "To begin your first print, ...". After poking around Google I discovered that it was as simple as inserting the SD card and selecting "test-dog.gcode" from the menu. (Plus some preparatory steps, like using Aquanet hairspray on the platform to improve adhesion -- my initial printing attempt failed to stick.)

First off this is an incredible printer at a great price. I've only had it for 4 weeks now but it has been printing pretty much non stop since I got it set up. Speaking of assembly, this thing requires a little mechanical skill and a whole lot of patience to put together. The first thing you need to do is to get on YouTube and watch the assembly video that the Tomb of 3D Printed Horrors channel did. The second thing you need to do is to watch the To3DPH's video on upgrades to your Ender. Do yourself a favor and purchase the upgraded aluminum extruder and the better quality bed springs with the printer. Put these upgraded parts on during your initial build. I did my assembly with the build video playing on my tablet right beside where I was working. If you follow along with the video and take your time with assembly you will have an amazing printer. Once I had the printer set up I did a few test prints and then I got busy printing the recommended upgrades. I printed the chain cables, filament guide arm, the micro SD cover, the electronics cover, and cable clips. These are great projects that not only enhance your printer but also let you get your feet wet if you do not have any experience with 3D printing. In my opinion you can't go wrong with this printer. Good luck.

[[VIDEOID:aa46f8a4dd8885c747be45a8a6b9fecb]] This is a great 3D printer. I had it up and running in about an hour and printing about a half hour after that. First print was the little pig that comes on the USB drive. Unbelievable quality for the price. I've used MakerBot in the past and don't compare to this thing. Set up was much easier than I expected and print quality is much higher than I expected. The software that comes with it is configure bold in a bunch of different ways. There is a lot of manual steps involved in printing such as bed leveling, but I really can't complain for this price. I would highly recommend this printer so any hobbyist, DIY, school, or business for prototyping.

[[VIDEOID:d7676cca555e8388e6a345379369187a]] This printer is perfect for any person who wants to get into additive manufacturing (3D printing) but isn’t sure what it’s all about or where they might want to go or eventually end up.You can print right out of the box and initial set up with only knowing the basics or nothing at all other than how to use the internet.Reddit has group’s first this printer and its kin, all part of the “huge open source community” which means, “if you don’t know, ask and tons of people will help and offer their own unique spin on things”.The best part, IMO, for beginners as they learn and want to experiment they can build and attach upgrades to this printer instead of going and buying a printer that’s a “step up”. In all seriousness, anyone who buys this printer won’t need to buy another printer except to print more things faster by having more printers.Highly recommend purchasing them watching YouTube videos, reading blog and forum posts, then deciding how deep you want to get into this future right at home.

I bought this printer primarily for printing dungeon tiles and D&D Miniatures. It is fantastic! The printer is easy to use, and more importantly, relatively easy to put together. I would recommend a few upgrades to the printer, primarily the bed springs, I found it was too difficult to level the bed with the stock springs, so I upgraded them to some slightly firmer springs. It is worth saying, this printer is very inexpensive. Assembly is required. The materials you start with are good enough, but if you put in a little bit of extra money, and upgrade things like the bowden tube fittings and springs, you will end up with a phenomenal printer. I think this thing works better than the 2000 dollar MakerBot that I have used in the past. That said, you can't simply take it out of the box and use it immediately. You have to do some tuning and leg work, but once it's set up, its awesome. If you are new to 3D Printing, Tom Tullis at the Tomb of 3D Printed Horrors has a best practices for assembly video that is worth every second, look it up on Youtube.Note: I have a background in Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing. So please understand that my lens is shaped by that background.

I am a complete novice. I have zero engineering or technical/mechanical experience i was able to assemble this printer in about 2 hours. Upon recommendation of others I did not follow the printed instructions because they made zero sense to me. I used a YouTube video and it went without a hitch. I was able to print the test dog easily and with no trouble. The only thing I could complain about is the filament provided with the printer is not spooled, it is coiled up like a slinky. Trying to get it to feed smoothly was a little tricky. It snapped on me twice. Now that I'm using a big spool of PVA I have no more issues. I successfully printed a Charizard from Thingiverse without too much trouble. There is a learning curve but they are less machine related, more user understanding related. My bed was easy to level, a tiny bit high in the center but you're never going to have something absolutely perfect. Over all a great printer for this beginner.

I have been using a 3D printer for a few months at work and decided that I wanted to get one of my own. So after looking online for the best one for about a month I settled on the Ender 3. I have to say this little printer does not disappoint. At first I was a bit hesitant because of a lot of comments talking about warped beds. Unfortunately I did end up with this issue. However I still give this printer a 5 star rating. The main reason for that is the customer service you receive from Creality. Those guys are amazing, after I sent in a message about the hot-bed issue they quickly replied and within a few emails I had another hot-bed on the way. I had already purchased a glass bed for the printer as well so I could use it in the meantime. After I put the glass bed on this thing has been performing amazingly. I purchased this printer mostly for printing miniatures and terrain for tabletop gaming. The quality of the prints I've made thus far have been fantastic for such a low price printer. The resolution and quality of these prints are on par with the printer I use at work, which is a $2000 printer. I will say it does take some time to get the settings just right but with so many resources online it so easy to figure out how to get it set up. The assembly instructions that come with it are a bit short and not quite detailed, however you can download a much better version from their website, or do as I did and follow a tutorial video online for assembly. Again, there are so many out there it's very easy to find. With the customer service that Creality offers and the quality of this little printer I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get into the hobby of 3D printing on a budget.

Edited****Support came through and replace the board. I am changing this to 5 stars as i love the printer, and it now works good! Keep in support is in china, which has its learning curve.Overall I am a believer that this is a good printer, with that said, after 7 prints, control panel screen is now blank, and machine is not usable. I have no way to revive the machine. I have contacted support, in an attempt to get assistance with the machine. Since support is based in china, replies take place at night, when i am asleep. As for the quality of printing, its good quality and made with good materials. Having worked in tech, every now and then electronic parts stop working. For now i will give this 3 stars, and we’ll see how customer support can turn this around for me. Worse case the exchange will do, but that means i will have to start from scratch....

After receiving and assembling the unit there was nothing left to do but print. The assembly went fine, it came with all the tools needed and sample filament to do a test print. After adjusting the bed using the paper method, and running a few prints is was obvious that the bed was not exactly flat, and had warped areas. My first contact with support looked promising. A kind apology and a request for a photo so I sent the one attached showing how the layering was uneven due to warped bed. That was april 26th to day is May 6th and no response. No resolution, and I would not recommend buying from this vendor, even if the printer is constructed well and is a good product, support is less than expected.** UPDATE: Support reached out to me eventually and resolved the issue. They say they had a staffing change and that the reason our replies were lost was due to that email not being checked or something similar. Staff I spoke with was quick to address the issue and sent out a replacement bed which resolved the issue and prints are now lovely.

User says:

This is a great printer for the money. Very easy to assemble, ridiculously easy to get it up and printing, and produces fine quality prints. Just needs the bed leveled and it's good to go. The only issue I had with it was a slight warp in the bed, which was corrected with a bit of force from the opposite side. I was up and printing in about an hour. No complaints, it's a great printer.

[[VIDEOID:b786a1943a40162bcf35a17d6e8f4f49]] (After writing about my issue, I was contacted a day later by Creality team, and figured out what was the problem, and sent me a new fan). Thanks .It took me about 45 minutes to assemble this 3D printer. It was very easy overall. The manual book is better than other Chinese manuals, but it’s not detailed. At some point I had to go online and check it on youtube. Overall I am very satisfied so far. I will update my review if something changed.Updated(01/25/2020). Im very satisfied with the result. It’s been working non stop, and no mechanical issues so far. I definitely recommend it.

User says:

Other than the fact assembly instructions were lacking(missing info from some key steps; had to YouTube to fill in gaps. Def NOT a 10 minute setup unless you have assembled the same model before), amazing experience so far. I dont have a fair comparison point but I was expecting much shodier quality prints for the money. Instead most of the prints so far have been high quality/ like finished retail product finishes. Already printed 2 24 hour prints. No problems other than stringing across gaps(easy to remove)

[[VIDEOID:fcb72547adbcf253b772a6259362fa85]] This was my first step into 3d printing and I'm very much enjoying it! I did quite a bit of research before making my purchase. The product was packaged well and was fairly easy to assemble. I would suggest having plenty of YouTube videos on hand for setup and tweaking of the printer to get solid results. I needed to loosen the pre-assembled frame pieces to rid myself of a wobble in the base - easily done. I replaced the tubing to the hot-end and bought the glass bed from Creality. Overall, the experience putting it together was a good one with support from 3rd party YouTubers. For the printing, don't expect it to be totally plug and play out of the box. Think of it as a craft / hobby and you'll be delighted with the performance of this machine. With very small additions and adjustments that I learned from the 3d community, I have been able to print some great quality items! I use Hatchbox PLA exclusively and it has been wonderful. The first few days I printed with the included flexible plate. I liked the ability to easily remove printed pieces from it but I did have to spend quite a bit of time on leveling. My build surface is not perfectly level with the shipped machine. I purchased the glass plate to help with leveling and although that surface doesn't level perfectly either, I have found a good middle ground with great surface adhesion. I typically set my build plate temp at 70 degrees - which I think is slightly misleading based on the addition of the glass plate. I suspect the actual temp at contact is slightly lower but it works well!I intend to make some other adjustments over time - stepper motor dampers is next on my list. Overall, amazing machine for the price! Fun to work with and tinker with settings and customizations. Great value in my opinion. Quality output if you're willing to understand the nuances of the medium and technology.

So far I our first week and new to 3D printing we are having fun and most our prints have been successful. I don't believe the failed attempts are at the fault of the printer but on us or the filament. It was easy to set up (recommend watching YouTube videos before you do this).Leveling is easy, but we did get upgraded springs in the first week, so I don't have to do it as often.

User says:

My best buy of the last few years. This is my own first printer, I've ran some cncs and other printers before. Took my time and had it built within an hour with some youtube help. Leveled the bed and this was perfect right out of the box. At first it was a little too much noise for me, then I printed some mods and got some dampers for the stepper motors and its basically silent other than the fan and extruder.

User says:

I really love the machine, very easy to assemble, and use. Prints are nice, and I will be buying another. I even use it with my wood working projects(Switch buttons were printed for the TV piece) highly recommended for beginners, I was able to get into 3d printing at around $200 and this machine is high upgradable, but nothing beside filament is needed to print awesome prints.PLA - ideal for this devicePETG - just tuff to tune in temperatures but works fineABS - I would recommend a enclosure for tall printsI've only applied printed upgrages, will be updating review after glass bed, bltouch and skr 2.0 install.

User says:

I have always wanted a 3d printer and this one is a great entry level. The setup was easy and i would recommend watching the video on the sd card as you put it together. It has a lot more detail than the paper instructions. The settings right off the bat were super easy for PLA filaments. It is very easy to customize. There are a lot of templates on thingiverse and free websites and programs to get you started. I have already recommended this to several people.

User says:

The ender 3 has blown away my expectations. Upgrading it was a breeze and made its use easier. This printer prints great out of the box and can be improved with many upgrades. For my ender 3 ive converted to direct drive, added Bltouch bed leveling, upgraded to all metal extruder and capricorn ptfe tube. The print quality is amazing and im highly satisfied with this printer.

User says:

Product came well packaged from manufacture. Set up time did take a little longer as the manual wasn't fully descriptive. Had to YouTube some of the steps. Only catch is that to never over tighten anything. Print came out prestine once setting the magic number into the slicer program. Did print out upgrade parts to help with QoL but overall the printer needed nothing other than leveling the bed, then print you go!P.S. my gantry bar came with a stripped screw hole, but the seller sent a new one immediately. There was almost no impact from the stripped screw though but extra points for customer service.

User says:

Not a complete newb to 3d printing, but I wanted my own printer. Put it together pretty easily, just a few hiccups with the stupid T screw things. Leveling was easy, but my first layer was all sorts of mucked up. Using a large surface area print for a first print is useful for that. Not sure if I have a bubble under the magnetic thing or it's a warped bed, but after the first few layers it was perfect. I'm very pleased with my printer

User says:

For the price, it's hard to find many complaints about this printer. The assembly was very straightforward, but the directions lacked clarity & details. YouTube was a great resource to properly adjust the belts/wheels and level the bed. Within three hours of arriving, I was able to successfully print one of the test files included with the micro SD card. This magnetic bed has made for such a good PLA printing experience.Coming from a $700 printer that had nothing but problems, I was totally surprised that a printer in this price range only had a few relatively minor issues. The largest issue I encountered (which customer support was quick to respond to) was a gash in one of the wheels on the lower rail.

User says:

I ordered the Ender Pro for my 15 year old son, he has the Elegoo Mars resin printer as well, so he wanted a filament printer that could print backdrops and terrain for his resin mini figures. The first printer was a lemon, right out of the box, it was bad, all the prints looked like basket weaving. The build plate would never level. The second replacement printer, which arrived in 4 days, after filing the return request, rocked straight away. The build plate levels perfectly, the prints turn out really great. My son was on the verge of a breakdown with all the issues he had with the first printer, but the second one has restored his ambitions with 3D printing. I am very happy and very satisfied with this new printer.

User says:

Love the ender 3, so much I bought a second. After about 2000hours printing the arm kn the extruder cracked and it no longer prints well. Gonna cost $13 for the metal upgrade/replacement. No complaints here other then wish it wasn't plastic haha.

User says:

The printer was perfect. My 10 year old daughter is using cad software to make her own models. My prints come out great and I only had to level it once and it never gets uneven. My problem is that there was what looked like a small air bubble yesterday morning on the bare print bed. I figured it wasn’t a big deal and started printing. After the print the bubble was like 5x as big and now can be felt through the magnetic bet cover. The nozzle is rubbing bad in this area. Will give 5 stars once the company resolves this... TY! (Resolved with a glass bed and this thing is great!)

User says:

This is excellent. 3d printing is not a plug and play hobby. Don’t expect to unbox this and print. It takes mechanical understanding to assemble and get printing. The instructions that come in the memory card are great. Very high quality produce. YouTube is your friend.

User says:

I got this printer after I had a DIY 3D Printer. The Enders 3 Pro it is so easy to use. I get amazing results results just look at my awesome prints. I totally recommend 100 %

User says:

A small learning curve to get calibration correct but once done this machine produces great results. This took a very short time to assemble, it arrived partly built.I would recommend to anyone wanting to explore the 3D printing options.I updated to a 5 because after fully learning this machine it's a fantastic 3D printer.

User says:

What an awesome 3D printer! Once assembled it printed effortless! only one thing.....the belt that the print head is mounted to do not tighten to tight. There's a adjustment screw underneath near the print head. when calibrating the X/Y/Z axis and to level the heating plate watch some you tube videos. it came with all the tools..cool! Enjoy the 3D printer!!!!!!

Fantastic starter printer. For the tinkerer at heart. It works fine as is but is even better as you modify it.

I ran into a shipping issue but the seller was fast and extremely helpful. If i was to buy another 3d printer I would definitely buy from them again.

Sencilla de montar, en menos de 1hr puedes comenzar a usarla. Con solo algunas modificaciones que consigues en línea "Thingiverse" y es tremenda impresora.

Muy buena impresora , Muy facil de armar y de manipular

This printer is amazing, producing the same quality prints as machines twice the price.

User says:

I am blown away by the quality of this machine, and the quality of the prints. I didn't order this from Amazon; I ordered it directly from the Creality 3D site. I don't get any compensation or freebies for writing this review. There are some advantages to buying a model that has been around a while, because many of the bugs have been worked out. The stringing that many people have talked about does not exist at all in my prints (attached). Also, my machine came with firmware (v 1.1.8) that had thermal runaway protection already enabled. This was tested immediately after assembly, and it works exactly as it should, shutting down the printer after about five seconds (you can test this very easily in half a minute with a cell phone power supply and a USB cable; I found the instructions on YouTube. No need to tear the machine apart as I have seen some people do).I added some additional protection by printing out a bracket from Thingiverse, and attaching a $5 smoke alarm to the top of the printer. It's ugly, but it makes me feel better.I very much enjoyed putting it together, and learned a lot. I went from knowing nothing to knowing something in about 2 hours. Everything fit together perfectly, with amazing (low) tolerances and quality hardware, and the result was a very solid machine. It was packed beautifully, with all the necessary tools, and nothing missing. The bed adjustment wheels had come off their shafts during shipping, but everything else was in place. The best part was when I fired it up, and it worked perfectly. The magnetic bed is great, so far. NOTHING has come loose, but it is extremely easy to get the objects off it. I usually print the first layer at 70 degrees, and then turn it down to 40 degrees for the rest of the print. The noise is much lower than I expected, after hearing a bunch of machines on YouTube. Ther is plenty of fan noise, but no rattling or grinding or clunking or any other noises, other than a little hum. And, you have to strain to hear that. Also, the PLA has virtually no fumes, and I have been printing at 205-210.I think the upgraded power supply, the stronger center rail, and the magnetic bed are worth the price of the upgrade to the Pro. But, from what I have seen, these enhancements do not change the print quality at all.All in all, amazed.
